Growing up in New Jersey, I was lucky enough to attend a high school with a decent darkroom and a great teacher. I borrowed my father's Minolta SR-T, took photography classes at a local college's summer program, and started taking pictures of everything around me. I have a BFA in Film & Television from New York University, and I've worked as a web designer, bartender, documentary producer, music promoter, and everything in between. After 10 years in NYC, I moved to Portland, Maine, where I am working as a photographer, playing music, running the music blog HillyTown, and doing freelance web design.
Recent clients and publications include: SPIN, Matador Records, The Village Voice, The Portland Phoenix, CMJ, The Maine Magazine, The Bollard, Brooklyn Vegan, Prefix Mag, SPACE Gallery, Northeast Performer, Maine College Of Art, The Dobbyn Foundation, Portland Arts & Cultural Alliance, Maine Arts Commision, Gothamist, After The Jump Fest, and more.
I am available for hire and able to travel for your project. Please contact me to discuss your photo needs, request a quote, and to share your comments.
